You, me and a cup of tea...

“It's always tea-time.” - Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

A trip to Pages Salons is not merely a routine hair appointment. We aim to provide an experience where you can relax, unwind and be revitalized while being pampered and styled.

With this in mind (and considering the British tradition and love of a good brew), we offer our clients (that’s you!) a cosy lounge area where you can enjoy a little “me-time” - prior to or following your treatment - with a delicious, complimentary (and hot!) cup of Tea Pigs tea!

Aside from the fact that tea warms your cockles and provides a great excuse for a good old chinwag, a piping hot brew is also proven to help reduce stress levels, boost energy levels & help combat ailments.

At Pages Salons, we provide a range of amazing, highest-quality teas from Teapigs for you to savour. Today, we’re introducing you to a few of the favourites so that next time you pop by for a treatment, you can indulge yourself. (Thanks to Teapigs for the descriptions and the yummy teas!)

Super Fruit - bursting with super fruits
The wishy-washy fruit teas are no longer – hurrah! We’ve popped real whole berries (cranberries and blueberries to be precise) to give a fruit tea that packs a super fruity punch – finally! These ingredients are great little super-foods so as well as a great tasting cuppa, you get a health kick too!

How does it taste?
Super and fruity - this cheeky drink is a little tart!

Good if you're feeling…
Slow and lifeless. The antioxidants in our super fruits will help stave off “Squashed Hedgehog Syndrome” (i.e. “feeling run down” – get it? Sorry ....)

What is in it?
Hibiscus, elderberry, blackcurrant, raisin, natural flavours, ligonberry, blueberry

Liquorice and mint - sweet treat
One of our best sellers, this little combo has hit the spot with lots of you. We use the natural root of the liquorice plant (not the black sticky stuff you’re thinking of!) and have blended it with our of pure peppermint leaves to create a naturally sweet and refreshing drink that is irresistibly moreish.  Liquorice has been used in Chinese medicine for years and is known as “the great detoxifier” – sounds great!

How does it taste?
Sweet, liquorice, mint and sweet again.

Good if you're feeling…
In need of a little treat, or, alternatively, in need of a tea to soothe a sore throat.

What is in it?
Liquorice root and peppermint

Mao feng green tea - green with envy
Call us soppy romantics, but we like this story. A young man and a beautiful young woman from a tea plantation were in love, but the local tyrant seized her as his concubine. She escaped, only to learn that the tyrant had killed her lover. Finding his body deep in the mountains she wept and wept until she became the rain, while her lover's body turned into a tea bush. Which is why, according to the legend, the area where Mao Feng tea grows is forever cloudy and humid the whole year round. All together now…ahhh! This tea is special, unlike any other green tea on the market. A green tea liked by people who don’t like green tea.

How does it taste?
This tea has a delicate natural taste of fresh summer air, peaches and apricots. The infusion will turn clear pale green (not the murky brown you often see with standard green teas).

Good if you're feeling…
In need of a make-over. Can’t afford rehab, liposuction or Botox? Why not settle for a nice cuppa? You may have heard about the many reputed benefits of drinking green tea, ranging from weight loss to anti-ageing - more fun than cosmetic surgery!

What is in it?
Pure mao feng green tea

Lemon and ginger - lazy days
Close the door to the wind and rain and brew up this all-natural, gingery, lemony brew to sweep you away to a British summer's day.  Think home-made lemonade, traditional ginger beer, croquet and morris dancers (ok, perhaps a step too far), it’s simply summer in a cup.  There is no match for the ginger kick and refreshing lemon in this infusion.
Please note this blend contains liquorice.

How does it taste?
A light, refreshing burst of citrus with the subtle warmth of ginger.

Good if you're feeling…
Mellow - this lemon and gingery blend will lift your spirits on even the cloudiest of days.

What is in it?
Ginger, lemongrass, lemon peel, liquorice root
